Ein seltenes Kontorhaus, bei dem die Integration des Fahrstuhls nicht nur technisch gelungen ist. Treppenhaus und Lift bilden hier eine schöne Kombination aus Licht und Farbe.

Hamburg’s beautiful staircases: Slomanhaus

In 1908, the architect Martin Haller (1835-1925) created the Kontorhaus am Steinhöft with Hermann Geißler (1859-1939) for the shipping company of the same name. In 1922, Fritz Höger (1877-1949) added a second story to the building.

A rare office building in which the integration of the elevator is not only technically successful. The staircase and elevator form a beautiful combination of light and color.

In 1908 schuf der Architekt Martin Haller (1835-1925) mit Hermann Geißler (1859-1939) für die gleichnamige Reederei das Kontorhaus am Steinhöft. 1922 bekam es eine Aufstockung mit Staffelgeschoss durch Fritz Höger (1877-1949). Es hat zwei Entrées. Eins am Baumwall, eins am Steinhöft. The Slomann House
In 1908, the architect Martin Haller (1835-1925) and Hermann Geißler (1859-1939) created the office building at Steinhöft for the shipping company of the same name. In 1922, Fritz Höger (1877-1949) added an additional storey to the building. It has two entrances. One at Baumwall, one at Steinhöft. Hamburger Kontorhäuser: Das Afrikahaus

Der Hamburger Architekt Martin Haller (1835-1925) errichtete zusammen mit Hermann Geißler (1959-1939) in der Zeit von 1899-1901 das Kontorhaus in der Altstadt. Auftraggeber war die Reederei Woermann. Seit 1977 steht es unter Denkmalsschutz. Nach einer Sanierung wurde es 1999 wieder eröffnet. Die prächtigen Elefanten am Portal stammen von Carl Börner (1828-1905). Von 1996 bis 98 modernisierte der Architekt Frank M. Esswein das Gebäude.

The Hamburg architect Martin Haller (1835-1925) built the Kontorhaus in the old town between 1899 and 1901. It has been a listed building since 1977. It was reopened in 1999 after a renovation. The magnificent elephants at the portal were designed by Carl Börner (1828-1905).
