Für dein Unternehmer Rudolf Bartholomay erbaute Architekt Rudolf Klophaus (1885-1957) das Gebäude an der Steinstraße in 1938. Es fällt auch durch einen aufgesetzten Schmuckgiebel in der Altstädter Straße auf. Zur Zeit des Bus waren die Architekten dazu übergegangen, die Treppenhäuser platzsparender zu gestalten, um mehr Nutzfläche zu gewinnen.
