Der Architekt Ricardo Bahre (1848-1913) erstellte 1906 für den Papierhändler Emil Barnbrock das schöne Kontorhaus (Barnbrockhaus) mitten in der City Hamburgs. Von ihm stammt auch das Heinehaus an der Alster. Hell geflieste Wände mit einem schwungvollen Treppenhaus laden den Besucher ein. Das renommierte Büro Gerkan, Marg und Partner sanierte 1980 das Gebäude und modernisierte den rückwärtigen Trakt.

Kontorhaus Poststraße
In 1906, the architect Ricardo Bahre (-) built the beautiful Kontorhaus (Barnbrockhaus) in the middle of Hamburg’s city center for the paper merchant Emil Barnbrock. He also designed the Heinehaus on the Alster. Brightly tiled walls with a sweeping staircase invite the visitor in. Hamburgs Kontorhäuser: Das Körnerhaus

Mitten in der City der Hansestadt schuf Heinrich Kaune (-) in der Poststraße 1904/1905 das Körnerhaus. Seine prächtige Fassade (Neorenaissance) strebt nach oben. In 1989 stockte Jan Störmer (me di um) ein Staffelgeschoss auf. Der schöne Eingang führt in ein platzsparendes und beeindruckendes Treppenhaus.

In the middle of the Hanseatic city center, Heinrich Kaune (-) created the Körnerhaus in Poststraße in 1904/1905. Its splendid facade (Neo-Renaissance) rises to the top. In 1989 Jan Störmer (me di um) added a staggered floor. The beautiful entrance leads into a space-saving and impressive staircase.

Das Hübner-Haus in der Poststraße Hamburg City

Ganz unscheinbar nah dem Neuen Wall in der Hamburger City: Das Hübnerhaus überrascht den Besucher mit einem Mosaik und Fliesenornament. Ein Pförtner-Haus im Haus erinnert an die Jahrhundertwende. 1908 von Henry Grell (1870-1937) erbaut erstrahlt das Kontorhaus im Glanz der Geschichte.

Quite inconspicuously near the Neuer Wall in Hamburg’s city center: The Hübnerhaus surprises the visitor with a mosaic and tile ornament. A porter’s lodge in the house reminds of the turn of the century. Built in 1908 by Henry Grell (1870-1937), the Kontorhaus shines in the splendor of history.
