Seit 2018 wurde das Haus aufwändig von Quest saniert und in 2022 wieder neu eröffnet. In seinem schmaleren Anbau erwartet den Besucher ein hübsches Treppenhaus in ungewöhnlicher Form. Da war wohl der fehlende Platz ein „Mit-Architekt“.

The Ballinhof – Ferdinandstraße extension
In 1901-1902, the building on Ballindamm was created by Georg Kallmorgen (1862-1924) and Werner Lundt (1859-1938). The extensions to Getrudenstraße and Ferdinandstraße completed the building in 1905 and 1921. Since 2018, the building has been elaborately renovated by Quest refurbished and reopened in 2022. In its narrower extension, a pretty staircase of unusual shape awaits the visitor. There, the lack of space was probably a „co-architect“.

Seit 2018 wurde das Haus aufwändig von Quest saniert und in 2022 wieder neu eröffnet. Es hat über 12.000 qm Mietfläche und eine Dachterrasse mit 350 qm. In seinem Inneren überrascht das Gebäude mit einem großartigen Treppenhaus, welches bis in das Staffelgeschoss aus 1921 führt.

The Ballinhof – formerly the Kirdorfhaus
In 1901-1902, the building on Ballindamm was created by Georg Kallmorgen (1862-1924) and Werner Lundt (1859-1938). Its front facing the Alster is made of sandstone. Extensions to Getrudenstrasse and Ferdinandstrasse completed the building in 1905 and 1921, commissioned by the Reederei de Freitas. Later, the Rheinisch-Westfälische-Kohlesyndikat under Emil Kirdorf was based there.

Since 2018, the building has been lavishly renovated by Quest and will be reopened in 2022. It has over 12,000 sqm of rental space and a 350 sqm roof terrace. Inside, the building surprises with a grand staircase that leads up to the staggered floor from 1921.

Das OLG reiht sich ein zwischen Zivilgericht und Strafgericht und bildet ein Ensemble mitten in der Stadt. Im Inneren empfängt eine große Halle mit Treppenaufgängen den Besucher. Eine gewaltige Kuppel schließt die Halle oben ab.

The Hamburg Higher Regional Court
Since 1912, a mighty building from Hamburg’s history has stood on Sievekingplatz. The builders were Georg Kallmorgen (1862-1924) and Werner Lundt (1859-1938). They also created the Kirdorfhaus – today Ballinhof -, parts of the Brahmskontor, and the Alte Klöpperhaus.

The OLG is located between the civil court and the criminal court and forms an ensemble in the middle of the city. Inside, a large hall with staircases welcomes the visitor. An enormous dome closes the hall at the top.

The old Klöpperhaus
A mighty facade with large window fronts directly on Rödingsmarkt conceals a beautiful staircase. The arhitects Werner Lundt (1859-1938) and Georg Kallmorgen (1862-1924) were responsible for the modern office building. From 1900-1904, the Kontorhaus was built for the cotton merchant Wilhelm Klöpper.
