Das Hamburger Weltwirtschaftsarchiv, Anbau von 1938

Das Verwaltungsgebäude der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Petroleum Gesellschaft aus 1908 und späterer Esso-Gebäude (1950) ist heute Sitz vom ZBW Leibniz-Informationszentrum Wirtschaft und dem German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA) der Universität Hamburg. In 1938 wurde ein Anbau zur Straße Esplanade geschaffen. Dessen Treppenhaus ist moderner und schmuckloser gestaltet.

The administrative building of the German-American Petroleum Company from 1908 and later Esso building (1950) is today the seat of the ZBW Leibniz Information Center for Economics and the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA) of the University of Hamburg. In 1938 an annex to the street Esplanade was created. Its staircase is more modern and unadorned.
